We are incredibly proud to call ourselves Norwegian champions after one of the most intense finals in the history of Norwegian basketball.

The fifth and deciding game at Haukelandshallen was a thriller of epic proportions. With just 3.2 seconds left on the clock, we were down by one point when Dashawn Davis took matters into his own hands and nailed a spectacular three-pointer, giving us a 67–66 lead.

Haukelandshallen erupted. With more than 1,700 supporters creating a wall of sound, the atmosphere was electric. Just feeling that level of support this season has been a victory in itself – an experience we’ll carry with us for a long time.

However, the intensity was not over just yet. Kongsberg Miners called a timeout, advanced the ball to the front court, and with 1.3 seconds remaining, Marin Mornar was sent to the free-throw line. Amid deafening noise from the crowd, he missed both shots – and when we secured the rebound, the title was ours.

“That ball was in the air for at least ten seconds, I’m sure of it,” said Lars Mensah Espe after the game, reflecting on Dashawn Davis’ miracle shot.
“I can’t imagine a better finals series for Norwegian basketball than this – five games, and two of them decided in the final seconds,” added an emotional Coach Calix Black Ndiaye.

The 2024/25 season has been special in so many ways.

This season has been about more than just titles. We’ve worked with purpose to rebuild club culture, rebrand the Lions, and create deeper engagement around the sport we love. Through initiatives like the LIM project, school visits, and our partnerships with the NextGen Neighbor Network and BasketAkademiet, we’ve laid the foundation for an even brighter future.

This championship title symbolizes more than just a win – it represents the community, culture, and passion that drive us forward.
