Sommerprat med Fyllingen coach David

Vi er kjempestolte og glade over å kunne fortelle at David Garcia Lopez har blitt en enda større del av Fyllingen!

Det siste året har David vært trener for U16, og nå går han inn som klubbetrener og trenerkoordinator. David blir hovedtrener for U15, U16 og U17, samtidig som han skal bidra som trener rundt U19 og U13, jobbe med inkluderingsarbeid og støtte flere lag.

De som kjenner David vet at han er en populær trener blant barn og unge i byen, og det er viktige for oss at han vil være tilgjengelig slik at disse relasjonene kan føres videre. Derfor vil dere finne David sammen med Pol på våre åpne arrangement som Basketnight, camper og aktiviteter knyttet til inkludering og sportslig utvikling. Så hva passer vel bedre enn en sommerprat med selveste coach David?

What has been your favorite moment from the season that just ended?
Definitely, the atmosphere that the finals created in the city, and seeing Haukelandshallen packed with passionate basketball fans, was incredible.

How has your holiday been?
My summer holidays have been very eventful!
First, I had the opportunity to visit my family and friends in Spain, play in a 3x3 tournament, and enjoy the great weather. I also travelled to Poland, where I celebrated Spain winning the World Cup, and finally, I got to enjoy a little bit of the Norwegian “summer” at the cabin in Frøya.

What are you looking forward to the most in the upcoming season?
I’m really looking forward to starting this new season and continuing to work with the boys on the project we started last season. I’m very happy and grateful for the trust placed in me to continue helping develop the future of the club.

What’s is like to being part of the lions family and what does it means to you?
Being part of the Lions family is something that positively surprised me from the very beginning. The players, parents, and everyone else involved in the club have created an incredible community where I was welcomed with open arms from day one. I have always felt appreciated and truly part of this family.

I’m very excited about everything this season has in store and can’t wait to continue growing together.
