Sommerprat med Lions fan Kathryn Fowles

Get to know one of our amazing Lions fans a little better through our summer questions and answers!

What do you do?
I like to say I’m a Facilitator of Happiness! I work in the hospitality industry currently Bakstehuset in Ask, and I’m also a fitness instructor through Kat Fitness, working with Sporty.

What was your favorite moment from last season?
My favorite moment from the last season was the final minute. Never give up!

How is your holiday?
My holiday has been the best of both worlds—a little bit of Norway and a little bit of Canada.

Why do you attend Lions basketball games?
I attend the Lions basketball games because simply it gives me “joy” a sense of belonging and a place to connect with a lot of good people. The community they’ve created makes us all proud to wear the jerseys and colors. I’m proud to attend the games, support the players, and introduce more friends to basketball.

The Lions games are a highlight of my week. During finals I have rescheduled a few of the fitness classes I am teaching so I wouldn’t miss game time. The club is welcoming to everyone—local, international and people from all backgrounds. Diversity is celebrated, and the kindness the team shows its loyal fans never goes unnoticed.

What makes the Lions special is the connection between the players and the fans. The players feed off the energy and encouragement from the crowd, while the games are just as uplifting for those of us in the stands. It’s a true community. The talent on the court is exceptional, and the team’s record speaks for itself. Supporting the Lions is about much more than basketball - it’s about being part of something inspiring.

We truly appreciate everything you bring to the Lions family. Your positivity, dedication, and passion mean so much to all of us, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of our team.

We wish you a wonderful summer, and we can’t wait to see you again for another exciting season together.
